Gascoyne Family Tree

Nicholas was born in 1358 at Lasingcroft, Yorkshire. His parents were William Gascoigne and Agnes Franke.

 

In 1393 he married Mary DeClitheroe. They had 5 children.

Nicholas died in 1428 in Lasingcroft.

 

In the 1390’s Nicholas Gascoigne acquired Lordships of the Manor of Lasingcroft (which lies south of Scholes and Cock Beck) with appurtenances at Shippen, South Milford, Grimston, Micklefield, Garforth, Barrowby and Barnbow (which lies southeast of Scholes and north of Cock Beck), which would also include mining rights.
 
Lasingcroft remained the family seat until the sixteenth century when Richard Gascoigne, the great-great-great grandson of Nicholas acquired Barnbow Hall and the old Grenefeld lands in 1568/9.
